Message-ID: <1E2AC5D9-CE80-4A19-9B4C-7A64459DF886@iastate.edu> Hello All, January 26th is the Chinese new year, The year of the Ox ! To celebrate I'm hosting a Chinese New Year Dinner the Saturday before, January 24th. Saturday evening shouldn't conflict with any yoga classes and gives me plenty of time to prepare. Plus it also gives me an excuse to use the fryer I got for Christmas :-) *Let me know if you plan on coming. Feel free to bring a friend if you wish, I'm sure there are people I've forgotten from this initial email. I am planning an Asian inspired menu with options for both Omnivores and Vegetarians. Here a preliminary menu I've been working on in my head. Some things may get added or removed between now and then. Roasted Goose (I was going to go Duck but I couldn't find any today.) Chinese Fried Pork Spring rolls Fruit Rangoon (Contains cream cheese) Cabbage salad. Fried Noodles Fresh Tofu Spring Rolls. Garlic Green Beans Mongolian Vegetables Sheng Ly Media Information Specialist & Systems Analyst 171C Hamilton Hall Greenlee School of Journalism and Communication Iowa State University 515-294-4353 macli@iastate.edu "Now we know, and knowing is half the battle..." I'm thinking dinner at 6:30 pm. You're more then welcome stop by earlier if you wish. I also had several people asking about bringing something. I think I'll have plenty of food so by no means should you feel obligated, but if you'd like to share a dish with everyone go right ahead. I'd be interested in tasting your family recipes. Also bottles (or boxes) of wine or beer to share with everyone would be nice. Sheng Ly macli@iastate.edu "Now we know, and knowing is half the battle..." Curious as to why I received such an email when campus orgs are not eligible, I tried to find where it was stated campus orgs were not to have GSB funding. I couldn't find it. The SORP doesn't cover GSB funding and the GSB documents seem to vaguely address a change in this policy. Do we want to attempt GSB funding for next year?
